Health & Fitness

The 5km corporate challenge promotes team spirit and encourages health and fitness within organisations, workplaces, groups, and schools. Everyone is welcome in the corporate challenge.

What to wear

Teams are encouraged to wear their team’s shirt; however, each member of the team does not need to run/stay together.  Teams are encouraged to dress up; the best dressed team is awarded a prize.

How many in a team?

A corporate challenge team must have a minimum of three (3) members and a maximum of ten (10) members.  The fastest team is based on the fastest three (3) runners in each team.  The start chute is coordinated with competitive teams up front and walkers at the rear for a smoother start.

Fund raising

The 5km corporate challenge is a great opportunity for groups to raise much needed funds for the Leukaemia Foundation. Teams are encouraged to fundraise within their workplace, group or school.  There is friendly rivalry between teams to fundraise and make a difference in the lives of those with blood cancer.

Enjoy yourself

The most important thing about being part of a corporate challenge team is to enjoy yourself. Many of our 8km and half marathon competitors started their Mackay Marina Run journey in the 5km corporate challenge.  Go on, you can do it.
