Q: What specifically do you like about running?
A:
I love the feeling of accomplishment of hitting training goals and I ADORE the people I’ve met through running. I also love that it’s something I do for me.

Q: What benefits to you get from running?
A:
Feeling good, laughing lots and it helps keep the butt from growing to large hahaha!

Q: Would you recommend running and why?
A:
It’s so much more than just running. It helps my fitness, it’s great for my mental health and it’s a wonderful social outlet.

Q: What distance are you doing in the BMA Mackay Marina Run and is it your first time running in the event?
A:
I’m doing the half… this will be my 5th run. I keep coming back … you can’t beat a run that takes you through the Goose Ponds, across the beautiful Pioneer River and then finishes oceanside with a thousand people cheering you across the line! Those strangers cheering me on get me across that line every time.

Q: Do you usually train solo or as part of a group?
A:
I train solo, I run with my dogs, with my running buddy’s from LRC, with my Parkrun crew and with the Mackay Road Runners.

Q: Tell us about your running goals post Mackay Marina Run?
A:
After the Marina run, I’m heading to the Gold Coast and then ticking off a bucket list run and flying to Las Vegas for the Rock n Roll run down the Vegas Strip. Eeppp YAY!
