To help with the race schedule, it is requested that all competitors arrive at the entrance to the marina wall prior to the start time as you will be moved from the marshalling area to the start line for a race briefing.
Those participating in the 5km Fun Run and the 5km Corporate Challenge please line up according to your expected finish times. Walkers and prams must be at the back of the pack.
The Marina Wall will be closed.
All race registrations excluding the Corporate Challenge come with a free event singlet or t-shirt. Participants will receive their garment if registered by 15 of April 2026. Registrations following this date will receive a garment subject to availability.
*Free registration for international participants for the Half Marathon is only available to people travelling to Australia from overseas and attending the run a part of their trip. It is not available to internationals residing in Australia. Please email [email protected] to receive your registration code for free entry.

All trophies are hand crafted out of ex Mackay sugar cane railway sleepers which provide a unique touch. Trophies not collected within two weeks from the event will be forfeited.
There will be finishing medals for all runners that participate in any of our individual events namely the 21.1km, 10km, 5km and 3km races.
The Half Marathon and 10km races of the BMA Mackay Marina Run have an official cut-off time in which participants must complete their race. These cut off times are enforced to ensure that participants do not impede other races and that roads reopen to the public in accordance with event permits.

Thanks to Kinetic Buses, we’ll be running a shuttle service to this year’s BMA Mackay Marina Run with its own exclusive route and event access point – meaning you won’t need to stress about road closures, parking or logistics.
Take our shuttle and enjoy stress free transport to and from the race.
Shuttle bus seats must be booked in advance to ensure we run enough services on the day. Add the bus to your registration or if you have already registered, simply login to your Race Roster account to edit your registration and add the bus.

Limited parking is available at the venue. We will also open the area beside Mulherin Park which offers 700 parks, however, we are encouraging runners to use our free Ride & Run Shuttle Service. Check our Venue Map here for parking entry points.
Please follow directions from our officials on the day. Competitors and spectators are encouraged to carpool to ease congestion.

To ensure the safety of the community – police, traffic controllers, road closures and course marshals will be controlling traffic. However, all competitors are required by law to obey road rules and give way to road vehicles if the situation arises.
Race Pack collection is between 12pm and 4.30pm on Saturday 6 June at the Marina Village Car Park on Mulherin Drive. If you’re unable to collect your Race Pack, a friend can collect for you, please give them your email confirmation to present.
If shirts/singlets/race bibs are not collected by 4.30pm on Saturday 6 June from the Marina Village Carpark, they will not be available unless prior arrangements have been made with the committee.
This year we will have a bag drop off area in the Recovery Tent.
There is a tear off section on your race bib that you will be able to attach to your bag for identification, please use it we can’t accept your bag without it.
Withdrawing after 11.59, Monday 27 April 2026:
If you withdraw after this date for any reason (including, but not limited to, medical reasons) – there is no refund of any portion of the entry fee. To withdraw from an event you should submit a request for withdrawal via email to [email protected]

By requesting a withdrawal, you understand that a cancellation fee will be deducted from the refund as stated in the terms and conditions when withdrawing on or before 11.59pm, 27 April 2026.
There is no refund of any portion of the entry fee if you withdraw after 27 April 2026.
